Although I’m posting this blog post a couple of weeks later than I wanted to do, I think it’s worth doing it, especially for the E.P. and the initiatives I’m going to talk to you about. The thing is that these past weeks I’ve had the opportunity to go to Copenhagen, Denmark, to participate on the European project EIPTE. I’ve done it with 15 students of the Grade of Primary Education at the University of Deusto, and two colleagues of the same university that, like me, opt for the entrepreneurial education and the teacherpreneurs. But let’s go by parts, I’ll tell you this story later.

IZANSDANCE

Some days ago, searching for new initiatives related to entrepreneurship and culture, a series of videos of a woman caught my eye. Her name is María, she is from Málaga, she is an entrepreneur and has very clear ideas. One of her achievements has been creating a dance school with its own methodology: IZANSDANCE.
Many consider it a pioneering dance school in Andalusia. CAMELIA RIOS: a new way of playing with architecture
In September of 2002, Camelia, our protagonist of today’s post, took one of the most important decisions of her life: emigrate to another country. Some years later, in 2012, she was presented with another important change in her life, this time in the workplace and much less traumatic than the first one, but which also meant that she had to get out of her comfort zone again: quit a job where she had been working for 11 years on her own and make the leap to the world of entrepreneurship, creating her own company. Today I have the pleasure to present you Camelia Ríos, a jewel of a person, whom I had the pleasure to meet last November of 2017. (more…)
They are FINALLY here!

A few months ago two people designed in their head a different space in the centre of Bilbao, a space to relax, to have an enjoyable time with your friends and family and to toast with them at special times, but also a place to celebrate different company events. That design was materialized in paper and a few days ago opened their doors to the public. Its name is TXOKO NORDISK.
Do you know what is it about?
What about a pop-up?
More than a decade ago, in countries like the USA, with New York in the lead, or the United Kingdom, with London as one of the mirror-cities to look to, people started talking about the pop-up shops. It was a fashion concept that started being successful among prestigious chefs, big designers or new entrepreneurs who wanted to put themselves and their creations out there. It was a time when this type of shops or spaces weren’t neither that extended nor known like they can be today. In fact, last week at least three of these pop-ups were held in Bilbao. From my tour around them I take some E.P. that I want to present you. I want to take this opportunity to introduce them to you, although I hope to talk about them more closely in future posts. Will you accompany me? (more…)
