Teacherpreneurs in Sundsvall

An intensive week to delve a little bit more into the entrepreneurial education and learning new methodologies and ways of being more teacherpreneurs. That’s what 13 people of the Primary Education degree of the Psychology and Education Faculty of the University of Deusto have been doing during the past week (from the 21st to the 25th of October) at the Mid Sweden University in Sundsvall (Sweden).

Do you want to know a little bit more about this experience? Keep reading because I’m going to tell you. (more…)

TALDEKA: supporting local entrepreneurship

A few days ago I read the following comment that Sofía Benjumea made, director of the Madrid Campus, a space created by Google for entrepreneurs in Madrid, and co-founder of Spain Startup (Head of Google for Startups Spain):

Ideas are worthless, the key is on the execution and surrounding yourself with a team that helps you do it.

That’s how I want to start this post, because I also think that it’s necessary to not only have ideas but, especially, to take the plunge and launch them, apply them and/or implement them.

If you are from Bizkaia and your intention is to start your business through designing, developing and/or innovating an app, a game, a program or something similar, creating media content, or developing an idea where “the digital” is present in some way, you are reading the right post. I encourage you to stay with me. I’m sure it comes to your mind some kind of entrepreneurship where the digital plays some part, either small or big. (more…)

Betting for entrepreneurs through training and learning

In my last post I talked to you about the characteristics of entrepreneursOn this one I want to emphasize one of them: the one related to constant learning. The point is that last week, the 10th of October, I had the honor of participating again in the DeustoSTART program, a program whose goal is to contribute to the developing of entrepreneurship among the students from the last courses of the degrees of the University of Deusto. IZANSDANCE

Some days ago, searching for new initiatives related to entrepreneurship and culture, a series of videos of a woman caught my eye. Her name is María, she is from Málaga, she is an entrepreneur and has very clear ideas. One of her achievements has been creating a dance school with its own methodology: IZANSDANCE.

Many consider it a pioneering dance school in Andalusia. Directed by María Sánchez Izquierdo, IZANSDANCE is a dance academy that rose up at the end of 2010 and that combines many disciplines connected to the world of dance: children’s dance, contemporary dance, ballet, belly dancing, jazz, dance therapy, yoga, pilates, stretching and dancegym, in addition to many activities, courses and resources you can find on it. CAMELIA RIOS: a new way of playing with architecture

In September of 2002, Camelia, our protagonist of today’s post, took one of the most important decisions of her life: emigrate to another country. Some years later, in 2012, she was presented with another important change in her life, this time in the workplace and much less traumatic than the first one, but which also meant that she had to get out of her comfort zone again: quit a job where she had been working for 11 years on her own and make the leap to the world of entrepreneurship, creating her own company. Today I have the pleasure to present you Camelia Ríos, a jewel of a person, whom I had the pleasure to meet last November of 2017.  (more…)
