When passion becomes art

It was about time, right? That’s what we thought and said as soon as we saw each other. A few days ago, the two of us agreed on the fact that “enough” time had passed since we first met on Instagram many years ago.

The most important thing is that, finally, on the 18th of January 2021 we saw each other and we talked. And, by the way, what a nice and productive time!

She is Yolanda Triguero, or Yoli, because in this case, her name is not that important. If you still don’t know what she does for a living and the works of art she makes, I encourage you to read this post. (more…)

Talento Juntos: to communicate from your heart

More than a decade ago I met the protagonist of today’s post, my dear friend Diego. Then, I contacted him to carry out a session based on theatre and dramatization techniques on “overcoming fears” within the entrepreneurial spirit developing program Ekin-IT which I was honoured to coordinate at the University of Deusto. Diego was also working at Di Towanda Talent. Today, Diego, a person with that entrepreneurial spirit I defend, is the director of Talento Juntos. Do you want to know more about him and his project? Keep reading.  (more…)

SAREA or how 2dB support Euleuk Sibiir

The 12th of April of 2019 SAREA (net) was presented by two entrepreneurial women, Isabel Alberdi and Marlene Salgado, of the brand 2dB (2 from(d) Bilbao). I already knew them, and I already liked their product, but when I met them again in a concept store and they explained with more detail one of their last “acquisitions”, I assure you that I liked their project even more. Obviously, I couldn’t miss the invitation to the 12th of April. They officially presented SAREA.

And you, what do you want to be when you grow up?

I’ve been keeping the video that I want to share with you for a long time. It’s a video that starts out with a simple question which for some is not easy to answer:

What do you want to be when you grow up?

The video is about education, creativity, learning, freedom, innovation, hackers, school, personal interests, motivation, risks, emotion, opportunities and self-discovery, among others. All of that from the thoughts of a ten-year-old boy.

Some of you might think that this has nothing to do with entrepreneurship. On the contrary, I think it has a lot in common with starting new actions, new paths, new projects and new challenges. It is also linked to many of the values assigned to the entrepreneur and to the education of future generations.

Here you have it. I hope you like it.

I wish you happy summer holidays.

The 20 characteristics of the entrepreneur

I admit that the time between this post and the last one has been longer than before. Unfortunately, sometimes life asks you to relax and calm down a little bit. It has been what has happened to me. This time, due to the lack of time to write the posts as entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship deserve I have decided to write every two weeks more or less. The most important thing is that I am here and I am back writing about what I think it is more than worthy. Hello again.

Para aquellas personas que me habéis preguntado en más de una ocasión que es eso de la P.E., aprovecho este “primer” post de vuelta de las vacaciones para refrescar estas siglas.

For those who have asked me more than once what E.P. (in Spanish) means, I’ll take this “first” post back from holidays to refresh this acronym.

In order to answer propely, I’ve been gathering the adjectives and ideas that I’ve been using in the different posts and which, from my point of view, define the E (entrepreneurial) P (person), this is, the entrepreneur. It is very important to highlight that every single entrepreneur does no have all those qualities, values or characteristics in general at the same time and/or at a high level. After all, we can’t forget that we aren’t talking about a superman or superwoman, but about people, with capital letters in my opinion: PEOPLE. (more…)
