I was looking forward to returning to this space. It’s been difficult weeks, with a lot of work and other responsibilities that didn’t allow me to bring you this new post at the time I wanted, but I’m sure you’ll like this “project” I’m bringing you today, if not, please don’t hesitate to tell me. By the way, first of all, I wish you a fantastic new year. (more…)
I’m sure you have experienced before that feeling of desire and enthusiasm to do something you really want to do. Well, that’s the feeling I have right now. Although this is not the first time I talk to you about WOP, this time I do it with even more enthusiasm, due to the news that it entails. Let me explain. (more…)
I am back. This summer has been a very special and peculiar one. It allowed me to rest a little, read a little, observe a lot and make new friends, that kind of friends that leave their mark. The same one that the fact of saving plastic bottle caps a few years ago, more than a decade at least, left me. That’s why today’s post has to do with caps, but also with creativity, innovation, youth, circular economy, environment and the desire to change for the better.
Are you ready for it? Go ahead.
As summer is approaching, today I bring you an initiative that I found very interesting. It is a way to move from an entrepreneur to an innovative and solidary action.
It’s called BREAKING THE WALL, a solidarity escape room created in collaboration between ALBOAN and Cocolisto. ALBOAN is the NGO of international cooperation of the Jesuits in Euskadi and Navarra, and Cocolisto is a team of people specialized in using the game, also as a training element.
It is presented as a global emergency campaign COVID-19 whose aim is to raise funds to alleviate the effects of the pandemic among vulnerable communities in countries in Latin America, Africa or India with fragile or non-existent health systems.
BREAKING THE WALL is designed as an interactive collaborative game that proposes a series of enigmas to collapse and dismantle the famous fakes news, as well as prejudices, fears and false rumours about migrants and refugees.
There is no age limit and the game is designed so that up to 4 people can participate from different places. All you need is the desire to have a good time, to contribute to a great cause and a minimum of 12 euros.
Now that there are so many birthdays to celebrate, how about making an original gift? I’ve already done it, and you, what are you waiting for? Just go to http://breakingthewall.alboan.org/ and follow the very simple instructions. You will receive a code and everything will be ready to play. You will have 60 minutes to solve the puzzle. Will you be able to?
Ready, steady, go!
On Wednesday the 3rd of June, the second session of the live interviews cycle of Inspira STEAM at home took place, whose aim is to give visibility to female scientists and technologists. I have already talked to you about Inspira STEAM before, but not about today’s protagonist. She is an 18-year-old researcher, inventor, and entrepreneur, who is currently studying her second year of Medicine.
Do you want to know a bit more about this woman? Keep reading. (more…)
