WHAT REALLY MATTERS

A few years ago, when I wasn’t on a great moment of my life, one of my brothers in law gave me a book that, according to him, I was going to like because it was like the ones I usually like. He wasn’t wrong. In addition to giving me a gift, which I love, I must say that it was THE GIFT. A book full of STORIES, those where you want to be the protagonist. Well, the last thursday, the 26th of October, some of its protagonists came to Bilbao. They celebrated the 9th edition of the congress of the What Really Matters Foundation. (more…)

Being kidpreneurs

Why? What is that? What does it say? Or why not? These are some of the questions most parents (I include myself among those) have or have had to answer many times a day to our children during their first years of life. Why do these questions change or disappear when they (we) start getting old? Moreover, why do some of us have to use the extracurricular programs to “give back” to our children their own attitudes and skills?

Today, I would like to focus on the education of the entrepreneurial competence of our children and think out loud. (more…)

Contributing to the social transformation from social entrepreneurship

On Wednesday the 21st of June, my first doctoral student (already a PhD) Nerea Sáenz defended the thesis entitled: La formación en emprendimiento social en la educación superior: competencias, metodologías de enseñanza-aprendizaje e instrumentos de evaluación. Estudio de casos en dos universidades europeas. (Training in social entrepreneurship in higher education: competencies, teaching and learning methodologies and assessment tools. Study of the cases in two European universities).
