Although I’m posting this blog post a couple of weeks later than I wanted to do, I think it’s worth doing it, especially for the E.P. and the initiatives I’m going to talk to you about. The thing is that these past weeks I’ve had the opportunity to go to Copenhagen, Denmark, to participate on the European project EIPTE. I’ve done it with 15 students of the Grade of Primary Education at the University of Deusto, and two colleagues of the same university that, like me, opt for the entrepreneurial education and the teacherpreneurs. But let’s go by parts, I’ll tell you this story later.
Some days ago, searching for new initiatives related to entrepreneurship and culture, a series of videos of a woman caught my eye. Her name is María, she is from Málaga, she is an entrepreneur and has very clear ideas. One of her achievements has been creating a dance school with its own methodology: IZANSDANCE.
Many consider it a pioneering dance school in Andalusia. Directed by María Sánchez Izquierdo, IZANSDANCE is a dance academy that rose up at the end of 2010 and that combines many disciplines connected to the world of dance: children’s dance, contemporary dance, ballet, belly dancing, jazz, dance therapy, yoga, pilates, stretching and dancegym, in addition to many activities, courses and resources you can find on it. In September of 2016, 17 mentors, 11 schools and around 200 girls embarked on a pioneer project in Euskadi, one of those projects designed on a paper napkin and that holds fundamental values and ideas. Today, I bring you an entrepreneurial initiative of the educational area, which is born at the University of Deusto, guided by Andoni Eguiluz and Lorena Fernández, professor-researcher and Director of Digital Identity of the University of Deusto, respectively.
Do you know which project I’m talking about? I’ll give you a hint: inspire. (more…)
If you have an exhibition space, if you need emerging artists to exhibit their work at your artistic and/or cultural spaces, if you are part of a group of artists, if you are looking for artists for a project or if you need to illustrate a book, edit a collection of stories or a soundtrack, you are reading the post you need.
Some years ago… one 6th of December the protagonist of this post was born in Donostia-San Sebastian (Gipuzkoa). Her name is Patricia Arruti. If there is something that characterizes Patricia is her sweetness, naturalness, proximity, happiness and a certain halo of shyness that decreases once you get to know her. Today I would like to highlight the artist that this entrepreneur woman represents.
