Here I am, here I am. I’m back with a startup that I met a couple of weeks ago in Porto, Portugal. As soon as I saw it, I thought that it would be a nice way to start this tenth year that I’ve been writing this blog. I hope it will not leave you indifferent.
I was on vacation with my family in Porto when, suddenly, we saw a store that caught our attention. We went in and there was Diogo ( I am not mistaken), one of the nicest sales clerks (resident CHEF to be more precise) that I have met in the last few years. He was the one who attended us and he also got us, no doubt, but the innovative and creative concept that they work with deserves it.
Meia-dúzia (half a dozen in Spanish), combines flavors, painting, design, color and the tradition of a family.
More than 100 flavors presented in paint tubes among which we can find some such as: cherry jam, fig, blueberry, apple, pumpkin and orange, banana and clementine with cinnamon, seasoned with Portuguese wines, herbs and spices; chocolate creams; olive pate; red bell pepper or mango chutney; teas, liqueurs; oils; rosemary or orange blossom honey; or Italian, French, Dutch, fresh, semi-cured or soft cheeses. All of them developed in Portugal and handmade. A palette of flavors that grabs you from the first spoonful.
I recognize that it is not easy to convey what we felt while tasting the different flavors, but I am sure that, depending on what time you are reading the post, your mouth has watered. I invite you to visit their website: www.meiaduzia.com
Thank you very much for being there and see you in a few days.
