First of all, happy new year to all of you who are taking the time to read this post today. I hope it will be a year full of joys and interesting projects that will make your day-to-day life a path to follow with enthusiasm and excitement.
I have two pieces of news for you today: on the one hand, a new programme of the Princess of Girona Foundation (Fundación Princesa de Girona – FPdGi), the Pro(f)-e diploma; and, on the other, the Alwa project, dawn in the Aymara language, which supports and promotes the development of socially responsible entrepreneurs (PESS).
As I have already told you on more than one occasion, it is mainly young people who are the protagonists of the (FPdGi) and on this occasion, a few months ago they launched the Pro(f)-e diploma, which they define as an accelerator of professional teaching skills, which:
‘promotes the development of competences and the knowledge of new routes for professional projection in order to work as teachers with excellence and purpose. Pro(f)-e offers to belong to a community of young people passionate about education, an active and experiential learning process in competences, and essential areas for educational improvement and innovation such as: Socio-educational leadership; Education and emotional well-being; Latest trends in educational technologies and methodologies for digital education; New routes for professional projection and educational entrepreneurship’.
Who is it aimed at? Young people between 20 and 30 years old, born or legally resident in Spain, with a degree or final year student in: University degree in Early Childhood or Primary Education, Psychology, Pedagogy, Sports, or Master’s degree in teacher training. If you meet these requirements, be sure to visit the FPdGi website, which is very worthwhile.
Thanks to the Pro(f)-e diploma, a few days ago I “met” Edu Elosegui, co-founder of Alwa, and Lola Rubio, one of the facilitators of the Alwa team, which includes, among other great professionals, Maitane Alonso (what a joy to discover you in this great team!).
As they state on their website, Alwa is committed to:
- People who have values and a proactive attitude towards life.
- Competent citizens who are able to cope in the global scenario of uncertainty and generalised change.
- An education that promotes autonomy and youth empowerment.
At Alwa, they design and facilitate ‘active, collaborative and experiential learning experiences that connect young people, adults and organisations to empower them through leadership challenges, impact and social co-responsibility’. As you can see, totally in line with some of the values of the FPdGi.
Among the services they offer, the following stand out:
- Campuses and camps
- Training trips
- Training and teaching
- Workshops and hackathons
- Social responsibility and corporate mentoring
- School and extracurricular programmes
I recommend you to visit their website and find out a little more about this project in which many people have participated, and which prioritises the following values: Connect, Collaborate, Share, Coexist and Commitment.
Are you, by any chance, one of these PESS?
Enjoy January.
