TALDEKA: supporting local entrepreneurship

A few days ago I read the following comment that Sofía Benjumea made, director of the Madrid Campus, a space created by Google for entrepreneurs in Madrid, and co-founder of Spain Startup (Head of Google for Startups Spain):

Ideas are worthless, the key is on the execution and surrounding yourself with a team that helps you do it.

That’s how I want to start this post, because I also think that it’s necessary to not only have ideas but, especially, to take the plunge and launch them, apply them and/or implement them.

If you are from Bizkaia and your intention is to start your business through designing, developing and/or innovating an app, a game, a program or something similar, creating media content, or developing an idea where “the digital” is present in some way, you are reading the right post. I encourage you to stay with me. I’m sure it comes to your mind some kind of entrepreneurship where the digital plays some part, either small or big. (more…)

Up! Euskadi. Doing by working hard.

Today I bring you some news that were published a few weeks ago. I think that there are very interesting, especially for those E.P. that have a company or an entrepreneurial project, and who are looking for some kind of support or advice.

It doesn’t matter the sector to which you belong: Related industries and Services, Bio/Health, Cybersecurity, Energy, Information and Communication Technology, Agrofood, Business or any other type of activity or service you offer are included in this initiative.

Do you want to know what it’s about? I invite you to keep reading.

IZANSDANCE

Some days ago, searching for new initiatives related to entrepreneurship and culture, a series of videos of a woman caught my eye. Her name is María, she is from Málaga, she is an entrepreneur and has very clear ideas. One of her achievements has been creating a dance school with its own methodology: IZANSDANCE.

Many consider it a pioneering dance school in Andalusia. Directed by María Sánchez Izquierdo, IZANSDANCE is a dance academy that rose up at the end of 2010 and that combines many disciplines connected to the world of dance: children’s dance, contemporary dance, ballet, belly dancing, jazz, dance therapy, yoga, pilates, stretching and dancegym, in addition to many activities, courses and resources you can find on it. Billy Elliot’s fault

“Don’t know. Sorta feels good. Sorta stiff and that, but once I get going… then I like, forget everything. And… sorta disappear. Sorta disappear. Like I feel a change in my whole body. And I’ve got this fire in my body. I’m just there. Flyin’ like a bird”.

MENTORING IN MET COMMUNITY, BECAUSE “BY HELPING OTHERS YOU HELP YOURSELF”

MetCommunity

Last Monday, 25th of September, at 6pm started the 3rd edition of the Met Community program in Bilbao in an incomparable setting, the University of Deusto. A day some of us were looking forward to and with some butterflies in our stomachs. There we were Antonio, Virginia, Irune and I.

This post has a double purpose: on the one hand, to make the launching of their third edition of the program known and, on the other hand, to thank the support of the group of mentors and mentees who have bet for MET Community this year by making some time off their agenda.
