BREAKING THE WALL

As summer is approaching, today I bring you an initiative that I found very interesting. It is a way to move from an entrepreneur to an innovative and solidary action.

It’s called BREAKING THE WALL, a solidarity escape room created in collaboration between ALBOAN and Cocolisto. ALBOAN is the NGO of international cooperation of the Jesuits in Euskadi and Navarra, and Cocolisto is a team of people specialized in using the game, also as a training element.

It is presented as a global emergency campaign COVID-19 whose aim is to raise funds to alleviate the effects of the pandemic among vulnerable communities in countries in Latin America, Africa or India with fragile or non-existent health systems.

BREAKING THE WALL is designed as an interactive collaborative game that proposes a series of enigmas to collapse and dismantle the famous fakes news, as well as prejudices, fears and false rumours about migrants and refugees.

There is no age limit and the game is designed so that up to 4 people can participate from different places. All you need is the desire to have a good time, to contribute to a great cause and a minimum of 12 euros.

Now that there are so many birthdays to celebrate, how about making an original gift? I’ve already done it, and you, what are you waiting for? Just go to http://breakingthewall.alboan.org/ and follow the very simple instructions. You will receive a code and everything will be ready to play. You will have 60 minutes to solve the puzzle. Will you be able to?

Ready, steady, go!

The keys of a good leadership, also for entrepreneurs

In the school year of 1993-94, as soon as I finished the Pedagogy studies and I got a diploma in Education of Leisure, I applied for the Young Leaders Fellowship scholarship of the Ryoichi Sasakawa Foundation. The goal was to make a research project that allowed me to lay the foundation of what my future doctoral thesis would be while I started working at the Leisure Studies Institute of the University of Deusto, founded in 1988 in the heart of the then Faculty of Philosophy and Education Science. Then started a long journey that’s still going, which I’m very aware of, and that made me work today at the Faculty of Psychology and Education of the University of Deusto, developing at least two of my biggest passions: teaching, with everything that implies; and the promotion of entrepreneurship, the entrepreneurial person – especially the teacherpreneur – and their training.

Do not worried, today’s post is not about my story, it is about leadership. Do you want to keep reading? You don’t? Then you’ll miss something; you do? Keep reading. (more…)

SAREA or how 2dB support Euleuk Sibiir

The 12th of April of 2019 SAREA (net) was presented by two entrepreneurial women, Isabel Alberdi and Marlene Salgado, of the brand 2dB (2 from(d) Bilbao). I already knew them, and I already liked their product, but when I met them again in a concept store and they explained with more detail one of their last “acquisitions”, I assure you that I liked their project even more. Obviously, I couldn’t miss the invitation to the 12th of April. They officially presented SAREA.

What about you? Do you now the daughter of LISFAB, granddaughter of URBEGI and BBK?

The initiative I bring you today was officially presented to society a few months ago, exactly on January 31, 2017. In this case, two institutions of recognized prestige, the Urbegi Foundation and the BBK Banking Foundation, have joined forces. Its goal is to make available to those that belong to the entrepreneurial ecosystem a new and pioneering tool. I very much believe that we should be a part of this great family.

Do you want to know it and have it among your favorites? (more…)
