The 20 characteristics of the entrepreneur

I admit that the time between this post and the last one has been longer than before. Unfortunately, sometimes life asks you to relax and calm down a little bit. It has been what has happened to me. This time, due to the lack of time to write the posts as entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship deserve I have decided to write every two weeks more or less. The most important thing is that I am here and I am back writing about what I think it is more than worthy. Hello again.

Para aquellas personas que me habéis preguntado en más de una ocasión que es eso de la P.E., aprovecho este “primer” post de vuelta de las vacaciones para refrescar estas siglas.

For those who have asked me more than once what E.P. (in Spanish) means, I’ll take this “first” post back from holidays to refresh this acronym.

In order to answer propely, I’ve been gathering the adjectives and ideas that I’ve been using in the different posts and which, from my point of view, define the E (entrepreneurial) P (person), this is, the entrepreneur. On the 10th of February of 2018, everything had to be prepared to welcome the teams and enjoy a long day surrounded by children and teenagers willing to give everything: the running order, the 8 rooms, the materials for the tests of value, the rubrics for the scientific project, the robot design and the FLL values, the projectors, the Wi-Fi passwords, the software to introduce punctuations, the sandwiches, the PIT tables, the tables of the stage, the breakfasts, the T-shirts, the credentials and a long etcetera a lot of us don’t know. The thing is that the 10th of February arrived, and everything was ready to receive the biggest FLL tournament celebrated in Spain until now.

Estudio de casos en dos universidades europeas. (Training in social entrepreneurship in higher education: competencies, teaching and learning methodologies and assessment tools. Study of the cases in two European universities).

Today not only I present you some of the main ideas of the thesis, but also her author, of whom I feel so proud. Why would it be? (more…)

LA CASA ROJA: A CLEAR EXAMPLE OF SOCIAL AND SUPPORTIVE ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Today will not be the first or last time I tell you about a case of social entrepreneurship. One of the main reasons why I do this is for the purpose that this kind of initiatives are looking for. If something identifies the social entrepreneurship is that, among others, it is oriented to the creation of social or environmentallly friendly value through the proposal of new challenges and opportunities that, at the same time, have an impact on society, especially in groups in social exclusion or neglected by conventional social and economic institutions.

Today I bring you an example of that: La Casa Roja. Do you want to keep reading? (more…)
