On Wednesday the 21st of June, my first doctoral student (already a PhD) Nerea Sáenz defended the thesis entitled: La formación en emprendimiento social en la educación superior: competencias, metodologías de enseñanza-aprendizaje e instrumentos de evaluación. Estudio de casos en dos universidades europeas. (Training in social entrepreneurship in higher education: competencies, teaching and learning methodologies and assessment tools. Study of the cases in two European universities).

The protagonist of today’s post is an entrepreneur woman whom I had the pleasure to meet a few years ago at the University of Deusto. This week I’ve been in some acts that have reminded me how important the entrepreneurial spirit is in our day to day to move forward, to change if necessary, to achieve what we want, to make a difference and to make our dreams come true.

That’s why today I bring you some thoughts about the so-called entrepreneurial spirit and what it helps us to achieve, if we “put our foot into it”.

Have you ever thought about what the entrepreneurial spirit is?

I admit that it is the first time that I think carefully on it. But it is not the first time I refer to it when I talk about entrepreneurship and the person, indeed.

The fact is that this weekend I started thinking about how we could define the so-called entrepreneurial spirit, which, I assure you, is something fundamental for the entrepreneur. Will you accompany me?
